Yes! Greyhounds adapt very well to apartment living. They are calm, quiet dogs that rarely bark and are generally well-mannered indoors. Their size might seem intimidating for apartment living, but they curl up surprisingly small and are content to lounge on the couch or dog bed for most of the day. As long as they get their daily walks and some mental stimulation, they thrive in apartments. Many apartment-dwelling adopters find greyhounds to be ideal companions.

Some greyhounds can live peacefully with cats and other small pets, but not all. Greyhounds have been bred for generations to chase small, fast-moving objects, so many have a strong prey drive. We carefully test and evaluate each greyhound's reaction to cats and small animals. If you have cats or other small pets, we'll work to match you with a greyhound that has been cat-tested and shows low prey drive. Always supervise initial interactions and be prepared for a gradual introduction period.

Our adoption fees vary depending on the age and special needs of the greyhound. The fee typically covers spay/neuter surgery, current vaccinations, heartworm testing and treatment if needed, dental cleaning, basic health screening, microchipping, and a starter kit of supplies. This represents a significant investment in each dog's health and wellbeing before they go to their forever home.
